How Much Did Dunkirk Earn In the First week In India?

It is not usual that a Hollywood film gives tough competition to the Bollywood films unless it is mainstream! But there are no ways a well-celebrated film like Dunkirk, directed by Christopher Nolan would cater so much audience for a film which was different than the usual Nolan-Brand sci-fi saga he does! But alone Dunkirk gave tough competition to the Bollywood films released this Friday on 21st July and it was unexpected to see the response it received from the Indian audience!

On the filmy Friday, Dunkirk was released in on 417 screens only, so it was clear that it was a released meant for the class of audience, mostly Nolan Fans who were eager to watch his film. And on the first Friday the movie managed to open with 3.10crores, which was expected by trade pundits! But for the weekends, it earned 4.40crores on Saturday followed by 4.30crores on Sunday. Making a total 11.80crores in net and grossed Box Office collection of 15.57crores!

Dunkirk is a war-drama action film based on truly historic events, happened in prior to World-War II era, where 40000 men managed to survive from Dunkirk despite being under attack from air, land, and seaways. The critics' world over rated it as a masterpiece in depicting a war drama in a long time. The film also includes power-packed actors like Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D'Arcy, Barry Keoghan, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy . The film is still in selective theaters!
