September 30 saw the release of the Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer film Vikram Vedha. The public has flocked to theatres to see the Hindi remake of the Tamil original after being positively impacted by it and spreading the word about it. Along with the lead cast, the film features Radhika Apte, Yogita Bihani, Rohit Saraf, and Sharib Hashmi. R Madhavan played the cop in the original, and Vijay Sethupathi played the gangster. A remake of their 2017 Tamil film of the same name, Vikram Vedha is directed by Pushkar-Gayathri.
The collections have greatly increased since the release weekend. On opening weekend, the movie earns close to Rs 40 cr. Vikram Vedha made between 14.5 and 15 crore rupees on Sunday, according to box office reports. The movie made 10.58 crore on its first day of sales before earning 12.51 crore on day 2. Along with the grand historical play Ponniyin Selvan I, it was released in theatres.
The narrative of Vikram Vedha is inspired by the folklore "Vikram aur Betaal" from India. It is unpredictable as fierce cop Vikram (Saif Ali Khan) embarks on a pursuit of feared gangster Vedha (Hrithik Roshan). Vedha, a brilliant storyteller, assists Vikram in unraveling the layers of a cat-and-mouse game by telling a succession of stories that lead to perplexing moral issues.
