The success of Pathaan at the box office confirms Shah Rukh Khan's unrivaled magnetism and aura. After being absent from the big screen for four years, his admirers showered him with love upon his return, making their wish to see the biggest star return to the silver screen come true. The Siddharth Annand-directed film has been unstable since its release and has left no room for any other movies to run. At the box office, Pathaan is having a great run, and it shows no signs of slowing down. According to trade expert Ramesh Bala, on its ninth day of release, Pathaan broke the Rs 700 crore barrier at the global box office.
Pathaan breaks Dangal’s record
The movie made Rs 57 crore on its debut day at home theatres on Wednesday. The movie had a five-day extended weekend because it was released in the middle of the week, and during that time, it was able to surpass the Rs 500 crore milestone globally. As a result, it had the largest opening weekend box office in Hindi film history. Pathaan, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, hasn't surpassed KGF Chapter 2 and Baahubali 2's domestic box office totals, but only when it comes to the Hindi dubs of these movies. Dangal presently holds the record with a gross of Rs 387.38 billion, but Pathaan is about to surpass it (net).
Pathaan’s solo run at the theatres
With no major releases this weekend, Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is expected to keep dominating the box office. Pathaan is currently running smoothly in theatres. Originally slated for release on February 10, the Kartik Aaryan-starring movie Shehzada will now hit theatres on February 17.
Pathaan’s plot
