Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra's film 'Mission Raniganj' released last week, earning a lukewarm response with a first-day collection of Rs 2.8 crore and a three-day total of Rs 12.15 crore.

Despite an 18% Sunday occupancy; the film is inspired by the true story of Jaswant Singh Gill, who led India's first successful coal mine rescue in 1989.
Akshay Kumar expressed his commitment to doing films that bring about social change and urged against solely focusing on box office numbers.
