On its first day, 'Neeyat' got off to a good start at the box office, making 1.02 crores. These numbers were about what was expected for a movie aimed at the elite and mostly shown in multiplexes. With Vidya Balan leading the cast of 'Neeyat,' it is likely that the movie will follow a similar path, possibly crossing the 5-crore mark over the weekend.

There are no other new films coming out at the same time as 'Neeyat,' but 'Satya Prem Ki Katha' still plays. So, 'Neeyat' needs to make big steps forward today and tomorrow if it wants to keep up with the competition that is coming.
