This year's biggest Bollywood clash happened on the most non-violent day of the year. As ' Bang Bang! ' and ' Haider ' together marked its release on October 2, which was blessed with the privilege of prolonging weekend. Both the films had bullets and bombs, still they were poles apart meant for different set of audience.
Vishal Bhardwaj recreated the turmoil of 1990s Kashmir on celluloid with ' Haider ', releasing it in 1250-1300 screens. On the domestic front, the film collected INR 6.14 Cr on the first day of its release date and on the second day it earned INR 6.94 Cr. Thus, the total domestic collection accounted INR 13.08 Cr, while the overseas collection counted INR 3.10 Cr. Taking all the figures in note, worldwide box-office collection of ' Haider ' within two days is INR 16.18 Cr.
Within two days of its release, ' Haider ' has incurred half of its making cost of around 30 Cr. UTV Motion Pictures decision of releasing the film on the national holiday and extended weekend has worked in favour of the film, plus positive reviews by the critics are doing the remaining magic.
