'Airlift' weekend 2 Box-office: crosses the 100 crore mark!

Raja Krishna Menon 's directorial ' Airlift ' has been loved by the audience and the critics alike. The results are evident in the box-office numbers! The film crossed the massive 100 crore mark in its second weekend at the domestic front. Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starrer raked in Rs. 4.50 crores on Friday, Rs. 6.50 crores on Saturday and Rs. 8.26 crores on Sunday, making its total collection stand at Rs. 102.76 crores at the domestic markets.

' Airlift ' is based on the real life incident and narrates the story of an unsung hero who with his wit and courage managed to rescue more that 1 lakh 70 thousand Indians stranded in a war zone of 'Kuwait'. This is Akshay Kumar 's fourth 100 crore film. The thriller has been released along with Tusshar Kapoor and Aftab starrer ' Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 ' which did not perform well at the box-office. Also, ' Airlift ' is giving tough competition to the latest releases ' Saala Khadoos ' and ' Mastizaade '.
