'English Vinglish' Worldwide Box Office Collection Close To 50 Crores
Despite good reviews, 'English Vinglish' had very poor opening. But due to good script and mouth publicity, it started picking up and earned INR 27 Crores worldwide in its first weekend.

Despite good reviews, ' English Vinglish ' had very poor opening. But due to good script and mouth publicity, it started picking up and earned INR 27 Crores worldwide in its first weekend.
By 14th October, its domestic box office collection has become INR 28.78 Crores (net) and its overseas collection stands at INR 17 Crores. This means its total collection (domestic + overseas) stands at INR 45.78 Crores.
So it is very close to INR 50 Crores because it is still doing well at the box office whereas all new releases such as ' Aiyyaa ', ' Chittagong ', ' Login ', ' Prem Mayee ', ' In the Name of Tai ' etc. have flopped.
Another film 'KLPD' which released with ' English Vinglish ' is also a big flop due to poor script.
' English Vinglish ' once again has proved that good script always works!
