Yesterday audience was treated with a quirky dish of ' Entertainment ' starring Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia which failed to entertain the critics, but lets see how well it served at the box-office.
' Entertainment ' was screened in 2,800 screens in India. It geared with a slow start in the morning shows, with just 25% occupancy at the theatres. But the occupancy witnessed a hike from afternoon to evening show and then from evening to the last night show. Thus, ' Entertainment ' made the business of Rupees 9.25 Crores at the box-office on the first day of its release.
As compared to rest of the country, ' Entertainment ' did a good business in North and Central India with majority of its audience being the youngsters. Also, the theaters had the tiny footfalls of kids who specially came to enjoy the golden retriever- Entertainment.
Jointly produced by Tips Films and Pen Film Banner, ' Entertainment ' was brought within the budget of Rupees 85 Crores inclusive of the promotion cost.
