First Day Box Office Collection of 'Horror Story'

Vikram Bhatt , the producer of 1920 series, returned with yet another spooky buffet to cater the horror lovers. He baked a fresh product with the tag ' Horror Story ' and the movie-goers had its first bite on September 13. Empowered with two USPs - Vikram Bhatt as the brand and the horror genre, the air was full of ga-ga over this venture. Moreover, ' Horror Story ' was neither a star-driven film, nor it was adorned with any songs and that was the prime intention of the filmmakers, so that the audience can solely focus on the horror content. ' Horror Story ' is a chronicle invigorated by the newbies like Karan Kundra , Ravish Desai , Hasan Zaidi , Nishant Malkani , Nandini Vaid , Sheetal Singh , Aparna Bajpai and Radhika Menon .

The other releases like the multi-starcast studded comedy fair ' Grand Masti ' and the edgy-thriller ' John Day ' also hit the screens on September 13, on the same day as that of ' Horror Story '. Hence, Vikram Bhatt 's horror affair had to see a downfall and was unable to give rise to much buzz. The director Ayush Raina also did not promote the film on a large platform, like others. Also, the movie garnered mixed reviews from the critics and could not grab a good word-of-mouth publicity. Going by the latest reports, ' Horror Story ' had a very poor opening at the box office on Friday, as it noticed a mere 20% occupancy.

Still, the flick is looking forward to achieve some good footfalls that will assist it to cover greater distance with good figures. The movie had to snatch standard figures, if it does not want it to be a real "horror story" at the cash-registers!
