Now, the Sci-Fi superhero movie 'Man Of Steel' was one of the most-awaited Hollywood flicks of the year, which released on June 14. 'Man Of Steel' flaunted Oscar nominated actors like Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner. It is directed by Zack Snyder, the one who earlier directed Hollywood biggies like '300'. The posters and promo videos of 'Man Of Steel' already raised the eyebrows of Indian movie-buffs. Also, the advance booking for this flick was registered at good rate.
As per the anticipation, this Hollywood film took a great start at Indian box office and performed excellently in high-end multiplexes in urban region. The 3D format offered by the film was like an added advantage for the masses and helped in creating huge hype. Reportedly, across the board, 'Man Of Steel' garnered around 65% opening. Though the film witnessed modest rise in the numbers for the evening shows, it is most likely to surpass 6 to 7 crore nett embracing its preview shows.
In all, 'Man Of Steel', which is the grand film for Warner Bros in India, was released in 500 screens in 3D format and 200 screens in 2D format. So, it ruled over around 800 Indian screens dubbed in various languages like Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
