April 25 saw three films at the box office, ' Revolver Rani ', ' Samrat & Co. ' and ' Kaanchi '. Sai Kabir 's directorial ' Revolver Rani ' featured Kangana Ranaut in a never-seen-before avatar and was released across 1500 screens. The movie opened with 20% occupancy on its opening day and it was badly hit by Punjabi release 'Jatt James Bond' in North region, as per the reports. The word-of-mouth publicity will narrate its future journey. It received mixed reviews from the critics, out of which many were not so good. The film is expected to collect around 3 crore nett on day one.
Subhash Ghai 's music thriller ' Kaanchi ' featuring Mishti and Kartik Aaryan attempted to please everyone with scenic cinematography and soothing music. Released across 1200 screens, it was occupancy of 8% on day one. With such a poor start at the box office, ' Kaanchi ' may have to struggle to garner 1.5 to 2 crore nett on Friday.
' Samrat & Co. ', a dilchasp rahasya ride as it says, failed to delight the viewers by offering nothing new. The film starring Rajeev Khandelwal got multiple negative reviews from the critics and is anticipated to face hurdles even getting 75 lakhs on the first day of its release.
The three releases of April 25 could not allure much of the audience attention might be because of strong performance of last week's release ' 2 States '.
