First Day Box Office Collection of 'The Lunchbox'

September 20 release \'The Lunchbox\' performs well with around 40-55% occupancy on its first day. The film faces tough competition from its contender \'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero\'.

A hectic festive season was seen in the past week along with depressing releases from B-Town such as ' John Day ' and ' Horror Story '. None of them succored up to gain more than 2 stars from critics as well as the audiences. However, this week's twin releases ' Phata Poster Nikhla Hero ' and ' The Lunchbox ' pumped up a breath of relief in the viewers' lungs.

As the promos showcased on air clearly bifurcated the possible category of viewers into two, likely to visit the theaters, whereas ' Phata Poster Nikhla Hero ' clearly stated an allurement centric, out and out mass entertainer, ' The Lunchbox ' more of attracted a far different solitaire masses.
