First Weekend Box Office Collection of 'Grand Masti'

The September of 2013 kickstarted with a festive mood. With the auspicious Ganesh Chaturti on the peak, box office was predicted to offer a family entertainer. Merely for a twist in the tale, the past week offered three unconventional treats to gulp down the entertaining feast. ' Horror Story ', ' John Day ' opened their shutters at the ticket window with a surprise element, a never seen topic to be tickled in their respective genres.

But, what really made the viewers hold on their breaths, was the sequel of the 2004 dark comedy ' Masti '. The maker Indra Kumar , who was all set to unveil his second treat in the adult comedy genre, served his best with comic caper ' Grand Masti '. The golden trio of goof ups, Vivek Oberoi , Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh bounced back with the genre they are most liked in and that too with their golden avatars Amar, Prem and Meet. Yet this time the masti boys had a much bolder and super hot coaster to be ridden as showcased through their promos.

Finally as the Friday welcomed the trio, the audiences blocked the theaters entrances. As this was expected for sure but, what was not remained the opening figures which accumulated a whopping 12.50 crores approximately. Thus, the opening figures and excitement shared, Saturday too witnessed a flood of fans mobbing the ticket windows. Therefore the masses contributed wholesome of additional 13.25 crores approximately yet another time, which overly amused the trade analysts.

Looking at the first two days of unexpected response to the adult-com, Sunday marked the highest in the weekend segment, accordingly a jaw dropping sum of 15 crores approximately. The overwhelming response clearly stated the adulterous genre surpassing horror and action, which stayed flapping their shoulders at the shore itself. Reportedly, this was clearly seen through calculating the overall weekend figure that jotted down a never expected figure of 40.75 crores approximately in the domestic sector.

So was the temperature iron hot on the global platform for the cheesy treat. The worldwide accumulations too cradled the analysts into a deep nap. The reason was crystal clear, the same temperament, a jaw dropping, mind trenching exploding collection of a breath stopping 42.50 crores approximately. With this the flick has established its gold in bending down its competitors to taste the floor with a tag of highest grosser of the week.
