The erotic-thriller ' Nasha ' featuring sizzling newbie Poonam Pandey , Shivam Patil and Ranbir Chakma released on July 26. Directed by Amit Saxena , ' Nasha ' was expected to be a crowd puller, as it was much-hyped one. The film had to witness a drastic lag in its collections over the first weekend.
The movie had to struggle hard owing to the below average performance on Friday. It could not grab the audience to the big screen because of negative reviews received by the film. It was hurt by the poor figures and can be counted as a complete washout. On Friday, the film managed to reach up to 1 crore nett, while on the second day of its release, it incurred 00.90 crore nett. On Sunday, the collection of the film was 1 crore nett, complicating the future path of the film. Hence, the total domestic collection of the film on its first weekend was 2.90 crore nett. The film performed better in single screen theaters, failing entirely to accomplish the interest of multiplex viewers, as it was unfit for family viewing considering its adult content. Also, the other movies that released on the same day, like ' Bajatey Raho ', ' Issaq ' and Hollywood film 'The Wolverine' gave a tough competition to ' Nasha '.
The movie must attain around 4-4.50 crore nett in the first week of its release, in order to save itself from drowning in the pool of the other releases.
