Hollywood's one of the most anticipated movies of 2013, 'World War Z' was released on 21st June 2013 in India. As usual on the first day of release, the movie took over the trade and made good numbers at the box office eating the shares of other Bollywood releases like ' Raanjhanaa ' and ' Shortcut Romeo '.

But surprisingly, the movie performed against the trend and remained average at the box office over the weekend. Aanand L Rai 's love story ' Raanjhanaa ' and comic ride ' Fukrey ' dominated the trade over the weekend and the zombie sci-fi thriller 'World War Z' got an average occupancy on Saturday and Sunday. However, despite of having a limited screen presence, the movie managed to score decent numbers. The Zombie thriller collected 5.15 cr on Friday. It managed to grab 6.80 cr on Saturday and 8.10 cr on Sunday which makes the total domestic collection of the movie 20.05 cr nett. The movie was released only in 550 screens but still it came out scoring good numbers.

The movie is directed by Marc Forster and co produced by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner , Jeremy Kleiner and Ian Bryce. The movie features stars like Brad Pitt , Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale and Matthew Fox.
