First Weekend Box Office Collections of 'Ek Thi Daayan'

Ekta Kapoor 's ' Ek Thi Daayan ' succeeded well in creating a lot of curiosity amongst the masses before its release. The Emraan Hashmi starer ' Ek Thi Daayan ' took an average start on the first day of its release. Despite doing the high decibel marketing and promotion, the film performed surprisingly below average in big cities.
Despite Konkona Sen Sharma 's fabulous performance in the movie, people did not give a huge response to it. The creepiest horror flick collected just 6.25 cr on Friday. The amount was decent but not for such hyped movie. ' Ek Thi Daayan ' was expected to perform better on the weekends , which happened at some extent but it did not manage to attract the huge masses. Unlike any Emraan Hashmi starer, the movie the super hit music tracks and that also affected the movie's performance at the box office. The movie collected better amount in the metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai but it did not grow au fait. The movie collected approx 5 cr on Saturday and approx 6.5 cr on Sunday which makes the total collection of the movie till date is 17.75 cr approximately.
' Ek Thi Daayan ' is directed by Kannan Iyer and features Huma Qureshi and Kalki Koechlin in the pivotal roles.
