As it is destined for every Chetan Bhagat ’s book to turn into a film, so are the films in Bollywood that will continue to perform well at the box-office, if it has a star cast with a strong fan following. So what if it has received an average review by the critics all over the country!
Film Half Girlfriend is doing a very good business at the box-office, even after receiving average review by the critics. Trade analyst predicted this, even before watching the film. Call it Half Girlfriend book craze or the fan following of the lead cast Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor , it is encouraging the footfalls at the screens.
Here are the four days box-office figures of Half Girlfriend , Friday 10.27 Crores, Saturday 10.63 Crores, Sunday 11.14 Crores and Monday 5.11 Crores. Therefore, till date total collection is 37.15 Crores.
Considering last Sunday’s IPL finals fever, Half Girlfriend wasn’t affected much in the theaters. There were people still waiting outside the ticket windows to watch it on the big screen.
Author Chetan Bhagat has finally understood the power of his pen, and has debuted in film production business with film Half Girlfriend . He has co-produced it with Balaji Motion Pictures and director Mohit Suri.
