‘Pad Man’ takes a jump on Sunday, after the 1st weekend, the movie stands with Rs. 40.05 crores!
After the first weekend, the Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man has collected Rs.40.05 crores and recovered its total production cost.

Director R Balki made his comeback after 2 years with the social comedy-drama ‘ Pad Man ’ and the movie became an overnight successful venture. Though the movie stars biggies like Akshay Kumar , Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte , it was made on a shoestring budget of Rs. 33 crores. The movie released last Friday and pocketed Rs. 23.94 crores in two days and yesterday’s collection helped the film to recover its total pre and post-production cost. On its first Sunday, the movie took a huge jump and collected Rs. 16.11 crores and after three days, the movie stands with a grand total of Rs. 40.05 crores.

Talking about Akshay’s career graph at the box office, till date his film Singh Is Bliing has gone on to give him the highest opening weekend grosser i.e. 54.44 crores and following lead is his two other films Housefull 3 (53.31 crores) and Brothers (52.08 crores). Though his latest film is receiving rave reviews from all across, it couldn’t manage to make a spot on Akshay’s top 10 highest opening weekend list.
The movie was initially supposed to clash with Neeraj Pandey ’s Aiyaary , but as the latter got postponed due to CBFC certification, Akshay’s Pad Man got a solo release on 09th February.
