On Friday, October 14, the first day of release in the Hindi market, "Kantara" amassed an enormous 1.27 Cr. On Saturday, October 15, its second day of sales brought in 2.75 crore, and on Sunday, October 16, its third day of sales brought in 3.5 crore in the Hindi market.
Prior to this, the movie brought in 2.3 Cr. Net on Monday, October 31, and continued to increase steadily on Tuesday, November 1, with 2.3 Cr. Net before surging to 2.05 Cr. Net on Wednesday, November 2, in the Hindi market. Kantara not only experienced tremendous success at the box office, but it also earned the top spot on IMDb's most recent list of the 250 films now playing in India.
