Box Office Collection: 'Tejas', Kangana Ranaut's aerial action film, has faced a disappointing opening weekend at the box office, showing no signs of growth. With a collection of ₹1.25 crore on Sunday, the film's three-day total stands at ₹3.8 crore, failing to make a significant impact.
Despite a marginal increase in Hindi occupancy on Sunday, reaching 8.37 percent, 'Tejas' failed to garner substantial momentum. Its performance remained stagnant, mirroring the opening day's figures. In contrast, Vikrant Massey's film, 12th Fail, released alongside 'Tejas', has demonstrated steady improvement, collecting double the earnings of 'Tejas' over the weekend.
In an attempt to rally support for the struggling Hindi film industry amid the pandemic, Kangana Ranaut urged her fans to visit theaters to watch 'Tejas', emphasizing the importance of revitalizing the theatrical experience despite the challenges.
'Tejas' marks Kangana's fifth film, following 'Panga', 'Thalaivii,' 'Dhaakad', and 'Chandramukhi 2', none of which managed to meet box office expectations. Additionally, she had produced 'Tiku Weds Sheru', which premiered directly on an OTT platform.
