'Tejas', Kangana Ranaut's latest aerial action film, faced a challenging opening weekend, with a disappointing Monday performance, falling below the ₹1 crore mark. According to early estimates, the movie garnered approximately ₹50 lakh on Monday. Despite director Sarvesh Mewara's efforts, 'Tejas' has only managed to amass ₹4.25 crore in four days since its release.
With a mere 6.6 percent Hindi occupancy on Monday, 'Tejas' failed to improve upon its lackluster initial earnings of ₹1.25 crore, maintaining similar figures over the weekend. The movie portrays Kangana as Tejas Gill, an ambitious Indian Air Force pilot involved in a risky rescue mission.
In a bid to boost visibility, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to attend a special screening of 'Tejas' at the Lok Bhawan Auditorium in Lucknow on Tuesday. Notably, Kangana Ranaut will also be in attendance for the event.

Despite a prior special screening for Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Indian Air Force officers at the Indian Airforce Auditorium in Delhi, 'Tejas' failed to impress both critics and audiences.
Producer and film business expert Girish Johar highlighted the film's fictionalized underdog story, stating that the absence of the intensity seen in movies like 'Mission Impossible' and 'Top Gun' might have contributed to its lackluster performance at the box office.
