The reviews for Kapil Sharma's performance in Nandita Das' ‘Zwigato’ have been overwhelmingly positive. Manas, the protagonist of the movie, became a delivery boy after the Covid pandemic cost him his job. The central theme of the movie is how he provides for his family while surviving in a hostile environment. As the movie creates an universe to depict the difficulties faced by migrants, Kapil Sharma steals the show as he deftly switches from being a comic to a member of the lower middle class. The movie, in which Shahana Goswami also has a role, was released on March 17 and has done well at the box office.

We all do small jobs here and there when we first come to Mumbai. The product was transported in trucks. There were no apps back then. But, when Nandita ma'am came to me and told me what all difficulties delivery guys face, I could relate to that story a lot.” Sharma stated that he wants to showcase facets of his personality other than his sense of humour through Nandita Das' film.
