Aditya Pancholi Biography

He was travelling in a local train and a director spotted him because of his handsome looks and great personality. And Aditya Pancholi became a known name in Bollywood. Aditya features in Hindi films. He was born on January 4, 1965 in Mumbai and is 6'3" tall. Aditya is the son of the filmmaker Rajan Pancholi and is mother's name is Aruna. The actor is having two brothers and one sister. Aditya's original name is Nirmal and he did his schooling from St. Joseph's high school in Juhu, Mumbai.

Rendering a Rajput character called Chhota Ghoda in 1990's release 'Maha Sangram' proved a major break for Aditya Pancholi. His performance in the film 'Saathi' in 1991 was considered as award winning. 'Aatish: Feel the Fire' was another film in which Aditya's performance was well appreciated. The actor gave a solo film in 1992 titled 'Yaad Rakhegi Duniya' and this flick was an award winning Telugu movie by Mani Ratnam 'Geethanjali' in 1989. Apart from this, 'Naamcheen', 'Chor Aur Chand' and 'Sailaab' were the films in which his solo performance was praised by the critics and masses. Aditya was also loved by people as an antagonist, as he played villain in the movies like 'Yes Boss' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, 'Race 2', 'Striker' and 'Bodyguard'. He even bagged two nominations for his villainous roles, as he was nominated for 'Best Villain' category in Filmfare Awards in 1998 for the film 'Yes Boss' and in 2011, Aditya was nominated for again 'Best Villain' category for the movie 'Striker' by Global Indian Film & TV Honours award.
