Actress Akanksha Malhotra is the daughter of Prem Krishna. Her grandparents are Prem Nath and Bina Rai.
Her first film was Le Chal Apne Sang (2000) and then she was seen in Narayana Rao Dasari's Chinna (2001). She acted opposite Rahul Bhatt in Yeh Mohabbat Hai where she played the role of Shaheen. It was a love story with a lot of complications in marriage. She beside played a small role in J.P.Dutta's film LOC: Kargil.
She was seen as Rakhi Dixit in Garv: Pride and Honor (2004) starring Shilpa Shetty and Salman Khan. She has beside acted in Aisa Kyun Hota Hai? (2006) and Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon (2007) where she was seen opposite John Abraham.
