Ali Merchant is a television actor, born on December 13, 1984 at Mumbai, India. His good looks and personality brought him to modeling. At the early age of 17, he earned the title of Mr. Bombay. This got him the direct entry into Balaji Telefilms's then popular serial 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki'. He became a household name with his character roles in the daily soaps like 'Amber Dhara', 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' and many other "saas-bahu" serials.
Ali attained the peak of popularity when he married TV actress Sara Khan on the reality show, 'Bigg Boss' in the year 2010 and just within a few months of their marriage the couple got divorced.
