Anjala Zaveri Biography

Anjala Zaveri, an Indian British actress, appears mainly in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi movies. Anjala hails from England-based Gujarati family. She is having a brother and a sister. After completing her A-Levels, she was all set to pursue medicine, but destiny landed her in the field of acting.

It was eminent B-Town actor Vinod Khanna, who noticed the acting talent in Anjala in a nationwide search in England. He offered her debut role in the film 'Himalay Putra' along with his son Akshaye Khanna, who was a debut actor in that film. Then, she appeared in the film 'Betaabi'. In the year 1998, one of the romantic comedy films of Anjala, titled 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya' achieved a great success. The film featured Salman Khan and Kajol in lead roles. 'Choodalani Vundi' was her Telugu flick alongside Chiranjeevi in the same year. Anjala did a cameo in the films like 'Mr and Mrs Khiladi', 'Soch' and 'Nigehbaan'. 'Muskaan' was another Hindi movie of Anjala.

Anjala attained much fame in Tollywood cinema. She got the opportunity to star with renowned actors like Nagarjuna, Bala Krishna, Venkatesh and Mammootty. Some of her Telugu flicks include 'Samarasimha Reddy', 'Bhalevadivi Basu', 'Naani', 'Aptudu', 'Prema Sandadi', 'Shankar Dada MBBS', 'Preminchukondam Raa', 'Life Is Beautiful' and 'Devi Putrudu'. The Tamil films of hers are 'Pagaivan' and 'Inidhu Inidhu'. 'Nammanna' is her only Kannada flick.
