Anjali Devi is a South Indian actress and producer.

She was born on 24 Aug 1927 and belongs to Peddapuram, in Andhra Pradesh. Anjali has wed music director P. Adinarayana Rao and is settled in Chennai. Actress Saila Rao is her grand daughter.
Anjali's Career
As an actress
In 1936 she appeared in a minor role in Raja Harishchandra and then played the lead role in L. V. Prasad's Kashtajeevi. She is splendidly known for playing Sita in Lava Kusha and her performances in movies like Suvarna Sundari and Anarkali were besides appretiated.
She has acted in more than 350 films which too includes Telugu, Tamil and Kannada language films. Brundavanam (1992), Anna Vadina (1993) and Police Alludu (1994) are few final movies of her film career. In Balaiah's Police Alludu and Anna Vadina she appeared alongside Brahmanandam.
As a producer
In 1955 she produced hit movie Anarkali where she herself played the lead role of Anarkali alongwith superstar Akkineni Nageshwara Rao as Salim. Then she produced V. Madhusudan Rao's Bhakta Tukaram and also Chandipriya by the same director. Bollywood actress Jayapradha played the lead role in her film Chandipriya alongside Shobhan Babu and Chiranjeevi.
Achievements
In 2005 the actress was honored with the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for her contribution to Telugu film industry. She also received the ANR National Award in 2007.
