The tall , dark handsome man of Bollywood who has bagged numerous awards and nominations for his outstanding performance in Hindi films in his short span of career, Arjun Rampal is a guy with high ambitions. Arjun, who is considered as one of the best looking actors in the Hindi film industry has very expressive and deep eyes. He is a lady killer. Women love him and men envy the handsome hunk. Arjun who has been a top notch supermodel in India had to struggle hard to build his career in the B-town. Over the years, he has proved his acting talent, abilities through his hard work and sincerity and professionalism.

Born on 26th November in 1972, in a high class Ramgariha Punjabi Sikh family , the dark horse Arjun hails straight from Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur. Amarjeet Rampal , his father, is a Sikh and his mother , Gwen is a Dutch lady. So Arjun is from a mixed cultural background. The hardworking actor was a bright student in his school. He did his studies in Kodaikanal International School where his mother was a teacher and later he took a bachelors degree in Economics from the Hindu College in Delhi.

Arjun made his acting debut in Rajiv Rai's film 'Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat' in 2001 along with Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani And Kirti Reddy. The film was not successful at the box office but Arjun's performance was noticed by everyone and got praises. Arjun was nominated for the Filmfare award for the best male debut for this film. But he was highly criticized for his series of flop films later. People questioned about his acting talent and personality. He did lead roles in the following films which were not successful ; 'Moksha-Salvation' in 2001, 'Deewanapan' 2001 in , 'Vaada' in 2005, 'Yakeen' in 2005, 'Dil Hai Tumhaara' In 2002, 'Dil Ka Rishta' in 2003, 'Asambhav' in 2004, 'Fox' in 2009, 'EMI' in 2008.

But he saw success through his following films 'Aankhen' in 2005, 'Ek Ajnabee' in 2005 opposite Big B, 'Tehzeeb' in 2003, 'Asambhav' in 2004 an action thriller, 'Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai' in 2006, 'Darna Zaroori Hai' in 2006. He did a different kind of roles with different actresses in these films and got critical acclaim for her improving performance. But he got a real fame through Farhan Akhtar's film 'Don - The Chase Begins Again' in 2006. He turned producer in that year and produced a film 'I See You'.

The style icon's career reached heights as he did a cameo of villain in the film 'Om Shanti Om' along with the beautiful Deepika Padukone and Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan. This film was the biggest hit film of Arjun's career. His next film 'Rock On' was a huge success and it gave him lots of awards, nominations and critical acclaim. His next film 'The Last Lear' with big B Amitabh Bachchan and stylish Preity Zinta was shown at the different film festivals. The handsome dude tried his luck in the comedy also. He acted in Sajid Khan's 'Housefull' in 2010 which was a hit. He also did a lead role in Karan Johar's 'We are family' with Kajol and Kareena Kapoor. He again did a negative role in Anubhav Sinha's film 'Ra.One'. The chocolate villain has also done cameos in 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' and 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd'

Recently he has done film 'Raajneeti' for which he has got a nomination for best supporting actor and then acted in the films 'Heroine','Rascals','Chakravyuh','Ajab Gazabb Love' and 'Inkaar'. His career graph is at the peak these days. Arjun is married to his long time love former miss India Mehr Jesia. The couple has two beautiful daughters Mahikaa and Myra. Actress Kim Sharma is Arjun cousin's sister. He has his own younger sister too.

Currently, Arjun Rampal is busy in his new films 'D-Day','Familywala','Start to finish','Rock On! 2','The legend of Kunal' and 'Satyagraha'.
