Barbara Mori Biography
Barbara Mori Ochoa is a Maxican- Uruguayan model and actress. She started her career as a model and later became a popular TV actress. She was born on 2nd February 1978 in Montevideo , Uruguay. She is of a mixed origin, Japanese and Uruguayan heritage. She has two siblings, one sister and one brother. Her parents are Yuyi Mori and Rosario Ochoa. Her parents divorced when Barbara was just 3 years old. Barbara spent her childhood in Mexico and Uruguay and then settled in Mexico city.
Her modeling career began very interestingly and unexpectedly. When Barbara was 14 years old, she used to work as a waitress. One day a fashion designer Marcos Toledo saw her and invited her to work as a model. Her spouse is Sergio Mayer whom she met when she was nineteen. The couple never married but has a son.
Barbara learnt acting in El Centro De Estudios De Formasion Actoral. She made her acting debut with one TV series Al Norte Del Corazon. She then appeared in one sitcom Tric Tac. She also appeared in Mirada De Mujer. Barbara appeared in the films like 'Viento en Contra', 'Spanish Beauty', 'Robots' ,'Pretendiendo' and 'Inspiracion' etc.
Indian director Rakesh Roshan cast her in his film 'Kites ' along with Hrithik Roshan . The film was shot in New Mexico, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. 'Kites ' could not do well at the box office which was released in 2010.
Recently, Barbara was diagnosed with the first stage of Cancer. But she got fully recovered from it.
