Bhagyashree Biography

Bhagyashree aka Bhagyashree is a famous actress. She got into the limelight after her film 'Maine Pyar Kiya' along with Salman Khan. She was born on 23rd February 1969. She hails from a royal background. Her real name is Shrimant Rajkumari Bhagyashree Raje Patwardhan. Her royal family hails from Sangli in Maharashtra. Her father Shrimant Raja Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan is a Maharaja of Sangli. Her mother's name is Rajlakshmi Patwardhan. Bhagyashree has two younger sisters named as Purnima and Madhuvanti.

Bhagyashree commenced her acting career with a television serial named Kachhi Dhoop. The serial was made by Amol Palekar. Her entry into the industry was an accident when her neighbor actor director Amol Palekar asked her to act in his serial as the signed actress abandoned the show suddenly. The serial went on to become successful. After that, she was seen in Honi Anhoni and Kissa Miya Biwi Ka.

She got into the fame with her role in Rajshri Productions' 'Maine Pyar Kiya' opposite Salman Khan. After that, she was seen in many unsuccessful films. Her career could not take high after 'Maine Pyar Kiya'.

Bhagyashree is married to Himalaya Dasani and the couple has two children, Avantika and Abhimanyu. Post marriage, she was seen in three films 'Qaid Mein Hai Bulbul' ,'Tyagi' and 'Payal' all the films opposite her husband Himalaya Dasani. After that she took a long break from the film industry.

After a gap of several years, she made a comeback with a television serial named Aandhi Jasbaton ki. She also acted in Didi La Dulha a comic crapper on Doordarshan channel. She was seen in one Marathi film 'Zhak Marli Bayko Keli' in 2009.

Bhagyashree and her husband Himalaya are the promoters of a media company named Shrishti Entertainment.
