Bhanupriya is a multifaceted actress, who acted in various Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada movies. The actress performed certain roles in 1990's in Bollywood films too. She was born on 15th January, 1966 in Andhra Pradesh. Bhanupriya was quite young when her family moved to Tamil Nadu. The actress performed in more than 111 movies in lead roles and in multiple languages.

She was just seventeen years old, while entering in the acting field. Bhanupriya debuted in Tamil film titled 'Sitaara'. The eminent director Vamsy worked on this project. The brilliant lady was seen in around forty Tamil movies, fifty-five Telugu films, fourteen Hindi flicks and some Kannada and Malayam movies.

Most of her critically acclaimed movies revolved around the classical dance subject, Bhanupriya being a proficient classical dancer. 'Netru, Indru, Naalai' was the stage show of Mani Ratnam, in which Bhanupriya played a significant role. Sivaji Ganesan, an eminent Tamil actor appreciated Bhanupriya as the sole actress from the younger generation, who can be compared to the other dexterous actresses like Savithri and Padmini in terms of acting talent. The Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi praises Bhanupriya for focusing more on technical factors of her footwork while dancing. Bhanupriya also receives applaude from the actress Khushboo for performing excellently in 'Aararo Ariraro'.

Bhanupriya was a part of television serial called as 'Shakti' aired on Sun Network channels. The actress is praised a lot in the industry for her mind-blowing facial expressions that landed her to modeling career. An advertisement done by Bhanupriya of an eye-liner called as Eyetex got very popular. The renowned director and cinematographer P. C. Sreeram stated Bhanupriya as the most photogenic and marvelous face among southern actresses.

The prominent Telugu films done by Bhanupriya include 'Palnati Puli', 'James Bond 999', 'Chadarangam', 'Gruhalakshmi', 'Mogudu Pellalu', 'Musugu Donga', 'Garjana', 'Illaliko Pariksha', 'America Alludu', 'Vijetha', 'Jhansi Rani', 'Black Tiger', 'Manchi Manasulu', 'Srinivasa Kalyanam', 'Prema Samrat' and many more. The actress was seen in some of the Malayam films like 'Rajashilpi', 'Azhakiya Ravanan', 'Kulam', 'Rishyasringan', 'Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal', 'Manjupoloru Penkutti', 'Hridayathi Sookshikkan' and 'Rathri mazha'.

The Tamil films of Bhanupriya are 'Thendral Thodhatha Malar', 'Pondatti Sonna Kettukkanum', 'Bramma', 'Thalapathi', 'Sundara Kandam', 'Pangali', 'Amaran', 'Kaviya Thalaivan', 'Maharasan', 'Raja Durai', 'Mutrugai', 'Uzhavan', 'Chakravarthy' and to list a few.

Her Hindi films were 'Dosti Dushmani', 'Insaf Ki Pukar', 'Khudgarz', 'Mar Mitenge', 'Tamacha', 'Suryaa', 'Dav Pech', 'Garibon Ka Daata', 'Kasam Vardi Kee', 'Zahreelay' and 'Bhabhi'.

Now, the actress is settled in Chennai.
