Bharat Shah is the Bollywood's film financer, who also owns a diamond merchandise business. He entered into the film production business with the help of his elder brother. His first film, as a presenter was Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha starrer, 'Mr. Natwarlal'. Since then, he has actively participated as a producer and distributor. Till date, Shah has brought up more than 100 cinemas to light up the silver screens, under his banner VIP Films.
Shah holds the record of producing superhit films like 'Satya', 'Dil Se', 'Mast', 'Hey Ram', 'Pukar', 'Devdas', 'Baghban', 'Main Hoon Na', 'Hulchul', 'No Entry', 'Garam Masala' and 'Rascals'. His recent ventures include 'B.A. Pass' and 'Zila Ghaziabad'. Also, the adult-comedy 'Grand Masti' was produced by him, earned him huge profits by becoming the fifth highest grossing film of 2013. Adorning the producer's hat, he has even launched many actors, those who have now become the well-known stars of B-Town.
In his prosperous career, there has also been a dark phase when he came into the media's spotlight for wrong reasons, alleged for having underworld connection.
