Chiyaan Vikram Biography

Aparichit a.k.a. Ramanujan Iyengar or Ambi or we all know him by the name Dev Pratap Sharma is a renowned South Indian actor. His real name is Chiyaan Vikram or Vikram Kennedy or Vikram Vinod Raj. The talented actor from a famed Tamil film 'Sethu' is famous for his strong performance in every film he does and gets a critical acclaim.

The gifted actor was born on 17th April 1966 in Paramakudi village in Tamil Nadu. His father Vinod Raj is a Christian and mother Rajeshwari is Hindu. His father used to work as a supporting actor in various films and television serials. Vikram took inspiration from his father and decided to enter into the film industry. For this he went to theatre lessons and trained himself in classical dance and cinema dance forms. Vikram's mother worked as a sub-collector and his maternal uncle Thyagarajan is a renowned actor and director in the south Indian film industry. Famous actor Prashanth is Vikram's first cousin.

Vikram went to Montfort School in Yercaud for his school education. He completed his graduation in English from Loyola college of Chennai. He met with a major accident during his college days and had received serious injuries. He has undergone 23 surgeries to get back to the normal life. The brilliant actor started his career by doing television commercials. When he was doing MBA, he was a known face in the industry. This gave him a small entrance in the film industry. He made his successful debut through a film known as 'En Kadhal Kanmani' . He then did many films and received critical acclaim. He got a real fame through a very challenging role in his film 'Sethu'. After that did numerous Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films.

In Hindi he did 2 successful films as 'Aparichit' and 'Raavana'. Vikram is currently busy in doing his Tamil projects. Recently, he was seen in a Hindi film 'David' also starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Vinay Virmani directed by Bijoy Nambiar. The film was well received and Vikram's performance got rave reviews.
