Prabhu Deva trained Girish for three and half years before filming. He made Girish perform some scenes and dance numbers. Prabhu noticed that Girish had an X-factor, but just needs to polish those rough edges, to make him more spontaneous. For it, he assigned few choreographers to train Girish according to the format of dances required in the film. Girish was even over-weighed, so he had to undergo fitness regime.
