Honey Irani is a former Indian actress and a renowned screenwriter, who was born on January 17, 1950 into a Zoroastrian family. Honey Irani was well-known as a child artist and was best remembered for it. She played child artist in the films like 'Bombay Ka Chor', 'Chirag Kahan Roshni Kahan' and many more. Honey has around 72 films to her credit. Honey's sister Daisy Irani was also a popular child artist in the 1950's and 1960's.

During this phase, Honey used to write small stories and she kept them with herself. Once, she told a story for a TV series 'Aaina' to Yash Chopra's wife Pamela Chopra. After hearing the story, Yash Chopra selected it for making a film. After this, Honey Irani came up with a story that made her debut as a screenwriter for the super hit film 'Lamhe' that featured Anil Kapoor and Sridevi. The movie won the Filmfare Award for Best Story and Honey touched great heights as a screenwriter. In the year 2000, Honey again bagged the award for the film 'Kya Kehna!'. She was awarded with Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay for the blockbuster 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai'.
