Katiya was born in Aden. Her father was an income tax commissioner. In the 60s her family moved to the United Kingdom.
Katy studied Graphics Design. She was seventeen when she was given a chance to model by a photographer of the Sun.
She was working as a receptionist at the London Hilton when a Playboy Club's employee saw her and after an audition she became a Playboy Bunny in 1973.
