Famous filmmaker Ramesh Sippy's second wife , Kiran Juneja, is an established Bollywood actor herself. More often than not she plays the lead protagonist's mother.
Television and Movies
She was first seen in the 1987 route breaking TV series Buniyaad. As one of the important characters of the popular drama , she was found in a jiffy.
Her first Bollywood movie was the 1988 Mulzim, where she played Jeetendra's sister .
Soon after she was seen as Ganga in the hit B R Chopra TV series Mahabharat.
In the 90s she appeared in movies like Amba (1990), Humshakal (1992), Madam X (1994), Zamana Deewana (1995) and Barsaat (1995). She was besides a part of the TV series Siddhi (1995).
In 2005 she played Rani Mukherjee's mom in Bunty aur Babli. The next year she played Priyanka Chopra's mother in Krrish.
She was the soft spoken mother in Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006). The film was a major hit.
Kiran played another small part in Salman Khan's Marigold (2007), pursuing it up by playing mother to two leading ladies : Kareena Kapoor's mom in Jab We Met (2007) and Priyanka's in Fashion (2008).
Kiran has also been a part of a Hollywood venture , The Other End of the Line (2008).
Her latest film was Chandni Chowk to China , where she played Deepika Padukone's mother.
