Koena Mitra Biography

Bengali beauty Koena Mitra is a well known face in the Bollywood and showbiz. She is a famous model as well as a very good dancer. She was born on 7th January 1984 in Kolkata. The bong beauty hails from a traditional Bengali Hindu family. She studied at South Point School and later attend Lady Brabourne College in Kolkata. She has done major in psychology. The supermodel, who loves simplicity , is a trained dancer. She learnt the art of dancing from Mamta Shankar. She was the part of the Mamta Shankar ballet troupe for almost 12 years. Koena began her career as a model. She was still studying in the school when she started getting the offers for modeling. In 2002, she won the prestigious beauty pageant called Gladrags Mega Model India 2003. She stood as a first runner up in Miss Intercontinental competition in Germany. After that Koena modeling career went on a high. She became a supermodel. She was a part of the big fashion weeks in Beijing and Milan. Many brands approached her for endorsements. Koena made her debut in Hindi films with Ram Gopal Varma's movie 'Road'. She was seen in 'Musafir' with Anil Kapoor. Her first success was 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena' with Fardeen Khan. She was featured in another hit 'Apna Sapna Money Money' as Shreyas Talpade's sister.
