Kunal Deshmukh Biography
Kunal Deshmukh is a young director in the Bollywood. He is a restaurateur too. He was born on 4th March 1982 in Mumbai. He did his schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir in Mumbai and then went to Jai Hind College for his 12th. Then he joined the H .R College to do a course in advertising. After completing the course, he went to the US so study filmmaking. His friend acquainted him with Mohit Suri who suggested him to join Suri in the making of the film 'Zeher'.
Kunal began his career in the Bollywood by working as an assistant director in the film 'Zeher' in 2005. He was an assistant director in the films 'Woh Lamhe...' and 'Kalyug' in the year 2006. He worked for Mohit Suri under the banner Vishesh Films. In 2006, Kunal quit his job to work full time with the script.
He made his directorial debut with the film 'Jannat' in the year 2008. The movie had Emraan Hashmi in a lead and was produced by Vishesh Films. The film was well received by the critics and the audiences. His next was 'Tum Mile' in the year 2009. The film was based on Mumbai Floods happened on 26th July 2005. The movie starred Soha Ali Khan and Emraan Hashmi. He next directed the sequel of 'Jannat', 'Jannat 2' . It also got a great success at the box office.
Kunal has opened a fine dining restaurant in Pune named as Trikaya. Currently he is busy with the project named as 'XXX' produced by Mahesh Bhatt. The movie is a 'crime thriller' and will be released sometime in 2013.
