Kunal Khemu Biography

We all loved his performance in the films like 'Zakhm' and 'Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke', the child artist of yesterday has now morphed into a handsome young man. Kunal Khemu is the person we are talking about, who has never been afraid of the camera and is entertaining us with his fabulous performances since his childhood.

Born on 25th May 1983, in Srinagar, Kunal had no godfather in the Bollywood. But still he managed to grab the attention of directors to cast him in their films. Kunal's father's name is Ravi and mother's name is Jyoti Khemu. Both his parents are actors hence the acting skill in him is inherent and hereditary. As a child, Kunal went to Dalmia International School in Mumbai. And then joined Amity university for higher education. When Kunal was very young, he made his acting debut in the TV serial 'Gul Gulshan Gulfam' in the year 1987. He was just 4 years old then. Then he appeared as a child artist in many films like 'Sir', 'Raja Hindustani', 'Bhai','Zakhm' and then in 'Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke'. His notorious yet cute appearance in these films as a child artist won many hearts in the Bollywood and in the audience.

Kunal then grew up and made his comeback in the Bollywood as a handsome young man through Mohit Suri's film 'Kalyug' in 2005. The movie was hit and everybody loved Kunal performance in the film. Later in 2007, he appeared in Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Traffic Signal' which was also a huge hit at the box office. His next release 'Dhol' was a moderate success at the box office. His next was 'Superstar' in which he appeared in a double role. The film was declared a flop but Kunal's performance was appreciated.

In the year 2009, he starred in two films , 'Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge' and 'Jai Veeru'. Both the films were average hit. Later Kunal appeared in the film '99' along with Soha Ali Khan. The film was a moderate success at the box office but Kunal got a critical acclaim for his performance. His recent blockbuster movie 'Golmaal 3' was a multi starer movie by Rohit Shetty. The movie rocked the silver screen and Kunal got lots of accolades for his supporting role as a Laxman.

The talented actor's recent release was Mukesh Bhatt's film 'Blood Money' which was an average success at the box office.

Currently, Kunal is busy is his upcoming project 'Go Goa Gone' with Saif Ali Khan and Rohit Shetty's 'Golmaal 4'.
