Laxmikant Berde Biography
Laxmikant Berde was an Indian Bollywood actor.
BASICS ON LAXMIKANT
He was born on 3 Nov 1954 in a Marathi Saraswat Brahmin fellowship. During the Ganesha festivities he used to perform at Konkanast Vaishya Samaj, Girgaum which elicited his stake in acting. He too bagged a number of awards for school and college competitions.
Actress Priya Arun was his wife and the mates had two children.
CAREER
He joined Mumbai Marathi Sahitya and took part in various plays, Purshottam Berde's Turtur was one of the most famous one. Berde made his Marathi debut film Lek Chalali Sasarla and Dhum Dhadaka , Ashi Hi Banwa Banvi , Balache Baap Brahmachari and Thartharat are some of his most popular films.
Berde stepped in to Bollywood with in 1989 with superhit movie Maine Pyar Kiya by Sooraj Barjatya. He was besides seen in hit movies like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Mere Sapno Ki Rani, Arzoo, Saajan, Beta and 100 Days, and Anari.
During the last few years of his life, Berde shaped his own production house which was referred after his son Abhinay.
DEATH
On 16 Dec 2004 the actor passed away of kidney complaint.
