Laya Biography
Laya is the famous South Indian actress and a very talented classical dancer. She was born on 1st October in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh. She was settled as a classical dancer in Hyderabad. She has performed in more than 50 stage shows. She got married to a doctor in Hyderabad and later shifted to the USA.
Laya's mother was a music teacher while her father is a doctor. She was a trained dancer of Kuchipudi and was a state level Chess player. Laya and her husband are blessed with a beautiful daughter.
The talented actress ventured into the world of films as a child actor in the film 'Bhadram Koduko' in 1992. She made her debut as a female lead in the industry with a Telugu film named 'Swayamvaram' featuring with the famous actor Venu. Till date, Laya has appeared in more than 40 Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films. Some of her popular movies are 'Udayon' ,'Thommanum Makkalum' ,'Swarabhishekam' ,'Gajendra' ,'Vijayendra Varma' ,'Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila' , 'Missamma' , 'Preminchu' ,'Hanuman Junction' and many more. Laya has received the Nandi Award for Best Actress for the two times in 2001 and 2000 for the movies 'Preminchu' and 'Manoharam'.
