Mamta Kulkarni is a former B-Town actress. She lived at Yari road, Andheri with her parents and two sisters, Moulina and Mithila. Mamta was born on 20 April 1972.
Mamta Kulkarni made her debut in acting field with a Tamil flick 'Nanbargal', a Shoba Chandrasekar film. In Bollywood, she stepped in 1992 with the movie 'Tirangaa'. Mamta acted in the other Hindi movies, such as 'Aashiq Aawara' in 1993, 'Krantiveer' in the year 1994, 'Waqt Hamara Hai' in 1993, 'Karan Arjun' in 1995, 'Ghatak' in 1996 (cameo), 'Sabse Bada Khiladi' in 1995, 'Ahankaar' in 1995, 'Ashaant', 'Naseeb', 'Baazi', 'Chhupa Rustam', 'Beqabu', 'Andolan' and 'Qila'. Almost of her movies saw good days at the box-office.
For the film 'Aashiq Aawara', Mamta grabbed a Filmfare Lux New Face Award. The glamorous actress was roped in by Rajkumar Santoshi for the lead role in his film 'China Gate'. In this flick, various finest actors were her co-stars and that's why she got opportunity to present her acting skills.
The beautiful actress was last seen on the screen in film 'Kabhie Tum Kabhie Hum'. During her career in Hindi cinema, she got several offers to do films with Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna. But, Mamta did not find the role as substantial. She did a few Tamil, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam films.
Mamta Kulkarni is married to an NRI and settled in USA.
