He can be tagged as an all-in-one package, as Meiyang Chang is an Indian singer, actor, television host and the qualified dentist. Meiyang was born on October 6, 1982 in Jharkhand. He completed his schooling from different places like Dhanbad, Mussoorie, Dehradun and Bangalore. He was in Colonel Brown Cambridge School in Dehradun and in Mussoorie, he studied at Wynberg Allen School. Hubei province in China is Meiyang's ancestral place and the family moved to India later on. Meiyang's father is a dentist and mother is a beautician.

Meiyang Chang has taken a professional degree in dentistry from V. S Dental College and Hospital in 2005 in Bangalore. His passion for music paved him the way to be a contestant on television singing reality show 'Indian Idol 3'. Meiyang got 5th position in the show and Sony Music India presented him the contract of recording music albums "Tu To Na Aayi" and "Udd Chale". He also did live performances across the world. The talented Chang hosted the fourth season of 'Indian Idol' He appeared as the sports presenter in Indian Premier League second season in South Africa.

The energetic persona Meiyang Chang featured in Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma starrer 'Badmaash Company' in a key role. He portrayed an easy-going college graduate called Zing in this film. In the year 2011, Chang participated in 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' season four on Sony television and he won the competition.

Apart from this, Meiyang Chang has also hosted various shows like 'India's Got Talent' season 3, 'New Talent Awards', 'Apsara Awards', 'IIFA Sri Lanka', 'The Chair', 'Desh Ki Awaz', 'Mirchi Music Awards', etc.

Chang has featured in commercials of Orbit chewing gum, McDowell's No.1 and Kurkure.
