Mohit Suri Biography

Mohit Suri is an Indian film director from the famous Bhatt Camp. Mohit was born on 11th April, 1981. He is the cousin of Emraan Hashmi, Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt are his uncles. Mohit recently got married to actress Udita Goswami.

Mohit started his career at a very young age assisting in movies like 'Kasoor', 'Awara Paagal Deewana' and 'Footpath'. He made his debut as a fully fledged director from the movie 'Zeher' (2005) which was a suspense thriller and an average hit. His next movie 'Kalyug' (2005) garnered critical appreciation. 'Woh Lamhe...' (2006) did not fare well. But, his next 'Awarapan' of 2007 was critical and a commercial success. His movie 'Crook' based on the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia did not fare well the Box office. He also directed the sequel of 'Murder' - 'Murder 2' in 2011 which was well received by viewers but got mixed reviews.

Mohit will be next directing a sequel to 1990 movie 'Aashiqui' which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. 'Aashiqui 2' would see Aditya Roy Kapoor,Shraddha Kapoor and Shaad Randhawa in pivotal roles.
