Mohnish Behl is an Indian actor born on February 14, 1963 in Mumbai. He is the son of the renowned actress Nutan and naval Lieutenant-Commander Rajnish Behl. From his maternal side, he is related to a huge filmy family. His grandmother was an actress Shobhna Samarth, while actress Tanuja is his aunt and her actress daughters Kajol and Tanisha Mukherjee are his cousins.
In 1984, Mohnish marked his Bollywood debut with a horror film 'Purana Mandir' followed by 'Dancer', 'Bekaraar', 'Teri Baahon Mein' (1984), 'Meri Adalat' and 'Itihaas' in the leading role. But none of these films succeed at the box-office, as result he failed to attend the hero status. But this wasn't the end; he came back with his second innings in a villainy role in the blockbuster film 'Maine Pyar Kiya'. He was casted in this role on the recommendation of Salman Khan, which indeed brought him luck. Later, he became popular as a spoil brat "Bali" in 'Shola Aur Shabnam' (1992), as "Narendra" in super hit film 'Deewana' and the manipulative son-in law "Rajesh" in 'Ek Rishtaa'. He has also played positive supporting roles in films 'Hum Aapke Hai Kaun', 'Hum Saath Saath Hain', 'Astitva' and 'Vivah'.
In the Television industry, Mohnish is known for his work in TV serials 'Sanjeevani', 'Devi', 'Ek Ladki Anjaani Si', 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki' and 'Kayamath'.
On the personal front, Mohnish is married to wife Ekta Behl and has a daughter.
