Mugdha Godse Biography

An ex-model and now a Bollywood actress, Mugdha Godse is originally from Pune. She was born on 26 July 1986. In the year 2004, Mugdha was a semi-finalist at the Femina Miss India competition.

Mugdha is basically from a simple well-to-do family based in Pune, Maharashtra. She is having a sister named 'Madhura'. Mugdha has been a contestant in various local beauty contests. The damsel was the winner of 'Gladrags Mega Model Hunt' in 2002. She also won 'Miss Body Beautiful 2002' title in the same event.

Charming Mugdha was a participant at the prestigious 'Femina Miss India' contest, which is considered as Indian grand modeling contest. The other awards bagged by her include 'Miss Perfect 10' at Pond's Femina Miss India competition, 'Best National Costume as Miss India' at Best Model Of The World competition in 2002.

During television commercial of Airtel, the glam doll shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan. Mugdha was also the fresh face for Close-Up advertisement. This Maharashtrian beauty ventured into modeling field for more than five years. In this period, she performed music videos, press advertisements, commercials and ramp-walk for national and international shows.

The charming Mugdha received her first golden chance in the movie 'Fashion' by Madhur Bhandarkar in 2008. In this movie, her co-stars were the established actresses like Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. For the performance in film 'Fashion', Mugdha got nominated for 'Best Female Debut' at Filmfare Awards. Apsara Award conferred the title 'Best Female Debutante' to Mugdha. Mugdha accomplished a lot of accolades in the Bollywood industry.

Other than 'Fashion', Mugdha displayed her acting talent in films like 'Jail' in 2009, 'All The Best' in 2009, 'Will You Marry Me?' in 2012, 'Help' in 2010, 'Gali Gali Chor Hai' in 2012, 'Heroine' in 2012 (cameo), and 'Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns' in 2013 (Item number).

The upcoming flicks by this bombshell include 'Afra Tafri' and 'Oh God! Saare Hai Fraud'. The films are slated to release in the year 2013.
