Mukesh Khanna is an actor splendidly known as Shaktiman of the television industry .

Mukesh Khanna, born in the year 1958, is a graduate from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and finished his LLB from the Government Law College. His brother advised him to try his luck in acting which inspired him to bring together the Movie and Television Institute of India in Pune.

Television
In B. R. Chopra's Mahabharat he appeared as Bheeshma Pitamaha and his enactment of this character was appreciated. His performance as Shaktiman conveyed him a lot of popularity. Mukesh besides appeared in the TV serial Aryamaan. He played the role of a father, Biswadeep Chaudhury, in Waqt Batayega Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

Movies
Director Nariender Bedi signed him for Khooni but this film could not be released as the director died while the shooting of the film was still underway . During the 80s he gave various flops like Ruhi, Capt. Bari, and Dard - e-Dil. In movies like Himmatvar (1996), Himmat (1996), Zulm-O-Sitam (1998), Hera Pheri (2000), and The Movie (2005) he played the part of an inspector. In Rajkumar Santoshi's Baadal (1995) he played Baadal's father . Baadal is an intelligent village boy who comes to the city and falls in love with a rich girl. Bobby Deol and Twinkle Khanna played the lead roles in this film. The actor besides did work as a narrator for Jai Santoshi Maa (2006) and was the voice for the lead character in Hanuman (2005).
