The tall, confident lady, best known for her role in 'Julie' in the year 2004. Neha Dhupia was born on 27th August, 1980 in a Sikh family at Kochi, Kerala. She belongs to the naval background, her father Pradip Singh Dhupia, being a naval officer and mother Manpinder, is a homemaker. Hailing from naval service family, she resided at number of places due to her father's posting. She has completed her schooling from Army Public School, New Delhi and holds a History (Hons.) degree from Delhi University.
Neha started her career by acting in a play called 'Grafitti', she featured in a music video for an indi-pop band, Euphoria. Her bold and confident personality made her the face of number of advertisements, for the brands like, Reebok, Mitsubishi Lancer, Wagon R, Airtel, National, Maxim magazine. She started acting on-screen with the TV serial, 'Rajdhaani', which also starred Randeep Hooda and Saakshi Tanwar. She attained wide fame with the crowning of Femina Miss India Universe 2002. Following year, she participated in Miss Universe pageant of 2002, where she was amongst the top 10 finalist.
Title of Miss Femina caught her the film director's eyes. Neha debuted in Bollywood in the year 2003 with an action-thriller 'Qayamat' and in the same year, she ventured into Telugu films with 'Ninne Istapaddanu'. Her phenomenal acting skills got appreciated in 2004 film, 'Julie'. She has appeared in the multi-starrer hits, such as 'Kyaa Kool Hai Hum' and 'Shootout At Lokhandwala'. And she has done supporting role in the movies like, 'Chup Chup Ke', 'Ek Chalis Ki Last Local', 'Singh Is Kinng', 'Action Replay' and 'De Dana Dan'. Neha has also acted in critical movies like 'Dus Kahaniyaan', 'Mithya', 'Dasvidaniya', 'Maharathi' and 'Gandhi to Hitler'. Her upcoming projects being, Dharma Productions' 'Ungli' and a Punjabi movie, 'Rangeelay'.
Neha has lend her helping hand to charitable causes, where she is attached with Concern India Foundation that supports children, elderly and lower income group women and has also raised funds for earthquake victims of 2011 Sikkim.
